Christians O’ Christians you are not like Christ
By: El Tiguerito
By the middle of the 11th century, the Christian empire had split due to pride, greed, lust, envy, anger, gluttony and sloth. The Emperor/Bishop of Constantinople and the Bishop of Rome had mutually excommunicated each other. Ultimately Christianity was divided between the Roman Catholic Church and the Byzantine Empire. In 1071, Constantinople was exposed to attack from Muslims due to lack of reinforcement and security. Meanwhile, Christians were being ambushed during their pilgrimages to Jerusalem (Jerusalem was controlled by Muslims during this period).
Emperor Alexius of Constantinople asked Pope Urban II for assistance. The Pope (the most esteemed representative of Christ according to Catholics) called upon untrained peasants with their families, and a core of trained soldiers to go on a crusade to liberate Jerusalem from its Muslim rulers.
The senseless, fanatical wave of mindless savage Crusaders (followers of Christ) murdered, raped, tortured and plundered their way killing Jew’s, Muslims and non Christians as they headed for Jerusalem.
On the way to the Middle East, they decided that taking control of Jerusalem from the Muslims would not be enough these children of Christ decided they had to rid the world of as many non-Christians as possible by murdering, torturing executing and converting - both Muslims and Jews. The “Holy” Crusaders sent by God’s representative the Pope gave the Jews two choices embrace the Cross or die!!! over12, 000 Jews in the Rhine Valley alone were killed as the first Crusade passed through (according to The Catholic Encyclopedia). Some scholars refer to these events as the "first holocaust."
As soon as this “Holy” Christian army reached Jerusalem they viciously broke through the city walls, these “children of God” slaughtered the inhabitants, the “Jewish pagans” they didn’t discriminate either whether you were a man, woman, child, or newborn, You were not Christian, therefore you had no soul and deserved to die. After dulling there bloody blades on human carcass they located about 6,000 Jews holed up in the synagogue, they set fire on the building; these innocent Jews were burned alive (I pause and think, wasn’t Jesus Jewish?). The Crusaders had not yet filled there bellies in that blood bath and only thirsted for more blood in order to please there leader Pope Urban II, they found about 30,000 Muslims in the al Aqsa Mosque. The latter were also slaughtered in a way so gruesome that I cannot begin to explain with mere words.
The Roman Catholic Church and its leader’s brain washed and manipulated the population through propaganda and false testimonies (one of the many lies they said was that Muslim ate Christian babies and sketched these images for people to see and fear). They deceived these people into believing that going to war against these "Infidels" was an act of Christian penance and that God ordained it to be so. These instigators of murder taught that if a believer was killed during a crusade, he would bypass purgatory, and be taken directly to heaven. This offer sounded too good to be true for Christian criminals and commoners, they were strongly motivated to volunteer for the crusades. After a priest pronounced words of
encouragement and gave there blessings, the new recruits were considered soldiers of the Church. These poor simple minded instruments of murder were unknowingly pawns for the higher ups in the Christian organization of terror, I mean what better way to make these rich Popes and Bishops richer than by having poor people full of guilt plunder and steal for you? It’s pure genius, Satan himself couldn’t think of a better plan than this.
These mass killings were repeated over and over until the 9th crusades in 1272 CE each just as gruesome and violent as the latter. Battles were fought with a terrible fierceness and a massive loss of life. Over a 200 year period, perhaps 200,000 people were killed. The Muslims thanks to a mighty soldier by the name of (Salah a-Din) subsequently recaptured Jerusalem from the Christians.
By the end of the crusades, most European Christians still believed in the unfounded myths -- the rumor that Jews and Muslims engaged in human sacrifice of Christian children. This alone brought forth a long series of Christian persecutions of the Jews and Muslims this continued in Europe and Russia into the 20th century. These Christians foolishly and unapologetically laid the foundation for the Nazi Holocaust.
The result of centuries of conflict among followers of the three Abramic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) was a "deep mutual hatred" and mistrust among the three faiths. Memories of these genocides still influence relationships among Jews, Christians and Muslims to the present time.
Among many Jews and Muslims, the term crusade evokes visions of genocide, mass murder, and mass extermination of innocent people. However, among many Christians it has become a positive term, frequently used to refer to mass rallies and campaigns to win converts - as in the Billy Graham Crusades. Out of respect for the victims of the "first holocaust," we recommend that the term be only used to refer to the wars of the Middle Ages.
The Reconciliation Walk statement of apology reads:
“Nine hundred years ago, our forefathers carried the name of Jesus Christ in battle across the Middle East. Fueled by fear, greed and hatred, they betrayed the name of Christ by conducting themselves in a manner contrary to His wishes and character. The Crusaders lifted the banner of the Cross above your people. By this act they corrupted its true meaning of reconciliation, forgiveness and selfless love …”
I wonder if this apology was enough, I wonder if Christians in general truly changed their ways, if there leaders are no longer corrupt individuals … I doubt it, but it really doesn’t matter anymore because this world is in a state of unconsciousness that is engulfed in a sea of innocent blood that is constantly being brewed with fabrications and lies. This world is nothing more than an image, a milli second in the eyes of God, but each second feels like a million years to me living in this world where love is not love and hate is all too familiar.
