When Jesus was on the cross..... You were on his mind!

How amazing is that ? This poor, innocent, suffering, holy person ... Brutally beaten unjustly because he told the truth and wanted everyone to be happy and love each other. People spat on him, humiliated and tortured him, denied him and yet when we nailed his tired, broken, fragile body up on the cross ... We were the first thing on his mind, and then he forgave us ... WOW

Tired! Weary! Exhausted! Depleted! Burdened! Is that you? There are times when the limits of our mortality overwhelm our intentions, commitments, and abilities.We quest for significance, we chase so many things. But there is only one true quest for significance that leads to rest: we must surrender all of those burdens to Jesus and trust him to supply our significance. Why is it so hard for us to come to Jesus? ...

Instead we rely on worldy solutions like alcohol, cigarettes, drugs and other outlets ... trust in Jesus to let him begin right now !! Ask yourself where are YOU in your lives? Why is it so hard to put down our burdens and come to him?

Lord God Almighty, you are marvelous beyond description and majestic beyond comprehension. But since you came to my world in Jesus, I come to him to find you. Please help me know you as I come to Jesus for rest. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
